Spring into Motivation: Unlock Your Potential

Spring into Motivation: Unlock Your Potential

___

As spring arrives, it’s a great time to start fresh and get moving. The season is all about new beginnings, so use this opportunity to set new fitness goals or pick up where you left off. The warmer weather and longer days make it perfect for spending time outdoors, which can really boost your mood and energy.

For most of us, the challenging part is staying motivated. The key to that starts with objectively assessing why you want to get active. Is it to feel healthier, happier, or just to enjoy nature? Keeping your reasons in mind can help you stay on track. Also, celebrate every small success along the way. This will help you feel proud of yourself and keep going.

Having support can make a big difference too. Find someone to exercise with, like a friend or family member, or join a group to stay accountable. Surround yourself with positive reminders, like inspiring quotes or pictures, to keep your mindset focused on your goals. By doing these things, you’ll be on your way to creating a fitness routine that works for you this spring. Remember, every step forward is a step closer to achieving your goals!

On the DL: hikes to get you started

Mellow: Coyote Song Trail – Easy hike around amazing geological features of rocks that predate the Rocky Mountains with very little vertical gain.  Cross Valley Road to Grazing Elk Trail for some extra credit.  No shade.  Trailhead: 39.56621, -105.15306

Intermediate: Cub Creek – Hike in coniferous forest while getting some gain.  Close to Denver but no one there!  No joke–a secret, hidden gem.  Walk as far as you want—trail goes on forever.  Lots of shade! Trailhead: 39.568468, -105.38349

Difficult: Rosalie Peak – Amazing hike through a forest along a river to summit a quiet 13er.  Some serious gain, good start to an active season.   See Mt. Bierstadt and Blue Sky from the summit.  Trailhead: 39.510698, -105.56733
